Are there any Chinese language resources produced to encourage non or poor English speakers to vote for Labour? I know many Mandarin speaking immigrants who are now British citizens but have very little understanding of current political issues. There are relatively few in the UK but a key message ahead of elections and referendums at least might be worthwhile producing.

This advertisement is unfortunately circulating.

I don’t have to tell you the sort of damage is is doing. And unless there is an accompanying “PRO CHINA” poster, I expect you guys to help put pressure on the publication to have this removed or merged with the otherside of the debate.

Thank you

Regards

I am emailing from YouElect, an independent not for profit NGO primarily focused on highlighting key concerns affecting the rights and the role of the Black community in the UK.

In the upcoming months, YouElect will be focusing on raising awareness of key political issues affecting British BME communities. We will also be exploring ways of encouraging more members of BME communities to be politically active and to pursue careers within politics.

We would like to meet with a member of Chinese For Labour to conduct a short video interview on the topic of BME political participation. The interview will be published on the YouElect website.

Would a representative of Chinese For Labour be available to be interviewed at some point during the next three weeks? We are happy to work around a time and date that would be the most convenient for you.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly,

Kind Regards

Fatima Bartlett

To Sir/Madam,

My name is Angelo. I am a student from the University of Sussex and am doing a project about British Born Chinese people in London. Part of this project is about their engagement with British politics and the political system.

I want to know if there are any upcoming events at Chinese For Labour where I can possibly contact British Born Chinese people and talk to them.

I look forward to your reply.

Kind Regards,

Angelo Scannapieco
